Not far from Hohburkersdorf, a part of Hohnstein, is this viewpoint. It offers a grandiose panoramic view of almost 360°. You look over the Saxon Switzerland into the Bohemian Switzerland and the Eastern Ore Mountains, on the other side the castle Stolpen sits on its throned, behind it the Lausitz spreads out, and in the west you can see Dresden. Two orientation boards help to recognize many landmarks.
At the lookout point there is a monument for soldiers fallen in the World Wars, surrounded by high lime trees. Some benches invite to stay longer.
