The “Fürstenau Madonna” has long brought people from Bohemia and Saxony together. She is the central figure of an impressive altar from the 15th century, which originally came from Pirna and came to Fürstenau in the 16th century, where it soon attracted Catholic Bohemian pilgrimages to Saxony. In 1887 he moved to his own chapel in Vorderzinnwald and after 1945 via Cínovec to the Teplice Regional Museum.
Now there is an exhibition that traces the Madonna's journey. Artistic elements describe the individual stations, two large showcases show archaeological finds from Vorderzinnwald, and the altar is present as a large-format photocopy. At each station, visitors are introduced to events, legends and a historical figure that show the close connections between Bohemia and Saxony.
