Funding
Small project fund of the Elbe / Labe Euroregion
With the small project fund managed by the Euroregion Elbe / Labe, projects in the Euroregion can be provided with funding of up to 15,000 euros. It is primarily aimed at meeting people on both sides of the border, but it can also be used for many other projects. There are also small project funds in many other border regions.
INTERREG VA Saxony-Czech Republic
The cooperation program Saxony-Czech Republic 2014-2020 (within the framework of the INTERREG VA pillar of the EU) supports projects in the Saxon-Czech border area in four thematic areas. The funding amount can amount to several million euros, an application is possible at any time. Unfortunately, the funds for the 2014-2020 period have already been exhausted.
Regional work
According to the guidelines of the Free State of Saxony for interregional cooperation (regional work for short), small projects, especially in the area of encounters between children and young people, can be funded with up to 5,000 euros.
German-Czech future fund
The Prague-based German-Czech Future Fund supports a large number of projects that promote understanding between Czechs and Germans. The funding amounts usually do not exceed 100,000 euros.
INTERREG B Central Europe
Within the framework of European Territorial Cooperation (ETZ), the INTERREG B pillar supports projects with several partners from at least three countries. The funded projects can amount to several million euros. Applications are submitted after regular thematic calls.
The German National Contact Point (CPP) for INTERREG B Central Europe is located at the Institute for Ecological Spatial Development in Dresden.
INTERREG C
Another pillar of the ETZ is with INTERREG C the promotion of interregional cooperation, i.e. regions in Europe that have no common border. It is primarily about exchanging experiences. The project scope is limited to some 10,000 euros.
