The award-winning Czech author Michal Ajvaz reads from his philosophical-fantastic novel The Other City. The narrator comes across a mysterious book in an antiquarian bookshop in Prague, which leads him into a hidden parallel world - a labyrinth of reflections in which dream and reality merge.
Michal Ajvaz (*1949 in Prague) is one of the great voices of contemporary Czech literature. He studied Czech and aesthetics, wrote his doctorate on Richard Weiner and Karel Čapek and lives as a freelance author and academic in Prague. His literary work has been translated into 24 languages.
