Like a string of pearls, the themed stations of the Weißeritz Valley Railway stretch from Freital-Hainsberg via Rabenau, Malter, Dippoldiswalde, Obercarsdorf and Schmiedeberg to the spa town of Kipsdorf. Simply get off where you like!
Ore Mountain traditions come to life in a Christmas atmosphere: Look over the shoulders of craftsmen, make your own incense candles, do handicrafts with your children and simply relax with a delicious mulled wine dippl by the fire. Let yourself be impressed by winter sports like in your grandfather's time or help push a pyramid.
Germany's oldest narrow-gauge railroad will take you from one Christmas market to the next.
