When the people of Glashütte come together on the market square to push the traditional Christmas pyramid and bathe the town in festive light during the torchlight and lantern procession, it's time for the Christmas market. At the traditional stalls on the market square, traders present their handcrafted goods and decorative items and offer inspiration for Christmas gifts. The aroma of mulled wine and quark balls lures you to the food stalls, which offer a wide variety of specialties to delight the palate. Musical performances and great hands-on activities for children round off the Christmas market in the watchmaking town of Glashütte.

- 17:00: Play and sing-along concert by the Glashütte elementary school theater group
- 18:00: Launch of the Christmas pyramid, inauguration of the church bell plaque, performance by the Glashütte young wind choir,
- followed by a torchlight and lantern procession with the Glashütte FFw

- 18:00: Start of the mdr JUMP Christmas market tour
- 19:30: Autograph session with the artists at the mdr JUMP promotion stand
