In a rustic atmosphere, traditional craftsmen offer their wares in a historical manner. Jugglers and minstrels provide entertainment with their performances. In addition to the unusual culinary delights, the public bathhouse is also very popular every year. It has two huge wooden tubs, in each of which up to eight people can enjoy a hot bath.
The world is still intact at this Christmas market! There is no constant sound from loudspeakers, hardly any electric lights and no plastic, but there is good live music every day and numerous medieval attractions. Around 50 merchants offer historical goods and craftsmen work with the tools and materials of the late Middle Ages.
The "Dresden Rauhnächte" will follow from December 27 to 30 and January 2 to 6, 2025. This is the name given to the twelve magical nights between Christmas Day and the Day of the Three Wise Men (January 6). This market "between the years" is a medieval fair, which - in contrast to the Christmas market - is supplemented with fortune tellers and magical creatures.
