In the late 1990s, seven young people between the ages of 23 and 33 in a big city try to practice what used to be called a love affair. And so they bump into each other amorously and get carried away into long-term or short-term relationships that lead them back into loneliness. Robert works in a travel agency and loves to untangle and intertwine people's fates. He helps Hanka and Peter break up and tries to understand life through recordings of "real life" played on the radio. While Hanka is pursued by Ondrej, now a respected doctor and family man, she meets Jakub, whose positive outlook on the world is encouraged by his regular marijuana use. On the other hand, his short-term memory deteriorates as a result, which leads to problems in their relationship. Disappointed, Hanka seeks her parents' understanding, but only finds twenty Japanese men watching "a normal family at a normal dinner".
