The multimedia artist behind the star of the video game "Machinarium"
Tomáš Dvořák aka Floex [clarinet, synthesizer, electronics], Sára Vondrášková aka Never Sol [vocals], Josef The Robot [drums]
The multimedia artistFLOEXis the man behind the soundtrack to the legendary video game “Machinarium,” which has sold over 5 million copies worldwide. To mark the game’s 10th anniversary, Floex had a life-size figure built of “Machinarium’s” main character, JOSEF THE ROBOT, and now has him play drums at his concerts. Man and machine share the stage, bringing to life the unique, atmospheric universe of electro-acoustic music for which Floex is internationally known and acclaimed. A highly unusual and special concert awaits us, further enhanced by the participation of singerNEVER SOL.
The set will feature tracks from “Machinarium” and the album “Machinarium Remixed,” which was released last year in collaboration with, among others, the British electronic duo Orbital—big fans of Floex’s music. The program will also feature tracks from the sensational album “A Portrait of John Doe,” which Floex recorded with English keyboardist Tom Hodge and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and which won the Angel Award—the Czech equivalent of a Grammy.
