Světlem is a young band that formed in 2023 at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory. Its members share a flair for Czech lyrics and a desire to push the boundaries of Czech pop. Their music can be classified as alternative pop with folk and jazz influences and features catchy melodies and unusual harmonies. The goal of their work is to create an experience that draws listeners into their own moods and thoughts while reminding them of the lightness of being.
With their powerful live energy, the band has filled numerous Prague clubs, including Jazz Dock, Café v Lese, and Klubovna. They have also performed at festivals, such as in Boskovice and at the Regiony Festival in Hradec Králové. They also performed their own compositions at the German club Tonne in Dresden as part of the Mladí ladí jazz project.
