Traditional Christmas market on the station forecourt. Various traders and Altenberg clubs are looking forward to your visit. There will also be a varied program:
- Small Christmas market at the Raupennest health center incl. shuttle (rehabilitation clinic - train station)
- Christmas magic at the sportcollection Altenberg with mulled wine tasting and laser biathlon
- Various stores along Dippoldiswalderstrasse and Rathausstrasse are open
- Christmas crafts as well as food and drink in the Altenberg Historical Collection
- in the tourist information center: Hutzenstube, zither music and handicrafts for children
- Santa Claus will be out and about

- From 12:00 noon: Christmas market on the station forecourt
- approx. 13:20: Arrival of special train (class 86 steam locomotive)
- 14:00: Collection of the giant stollen from the Braun bakery with Fischer's horse-drawn carriage and little elves, followed by the cutting of the stollen
- 14:00 - 17:00: Advent handicrafts in the Loipenhaus
- 3:00 p.m.: Small Christmas program with children from the Altenberg kindergarten
- 15:30: Performance by the Altenberg elementary school choir
- approx. 17:00: Departure of the special train
- 17:15: Lantern procession through Altenberg in the glow of lights with the Altenberg youth fire department
- 17:30: Christmas brass music with the Liebenau/Fürstenwalde brass choir
- 18:00: Award ceremony for the 8th Altenberg Cookie Queen and King
- 6:30 pm: Rocking finale with the Rehefeld cover band and joint Christmas carol singing at the end
