By popular request, we are now showing this laughable success of the Czech-German Culture Days 2022 again. With this we start our series "Czech Film Wednesday", in which we show a Czech film as original subtitles every first Wednesday of the month.
Now to the film: A train drives through the picturesque Czech countryside. People sit in it, chatter, remain silent, look out the window or sleep. The train suddenly stops and the train driver Miloš has to get out to repair the breakdown. However, the train, standing on a slight incline, rolls back to the starting station and the terrified Miloš has no choice but to trott after it.
The passengers soon realize that they are going in the wrong direction. The driver's cab is locked and no one reports behind the door. First panic attacks spread - is it a kidnapping, revenge or a complete failure of the system? Using brutal means and a hunter's rifle, passengers open the doors of both train driver's cabins, but only get their worst expectations confirmed, namely that nobody is driving the train.
A giant chicken appears, fundamental questions of life are discussed, the local fire brigade is turned on to fight terrorism, and the absurdity increases with every minute of the film. A kaleidoscope of Czech society unfolds in the smallest of spaces.
