Our neighbors – their country and people (EEL-0246-DE)
The "Our Neighbors - Land and People" project brought people from Saxony and the Czech Republic into contact with each other by taking them on 10 joint excursions to interesting places in the Saxon-Czech border region. Not only was a great deal of knowledge about the border region, the shared history and cultural similarities and differences imparted, but a large number of personal contacts were also made.
The excursions led to the following destinations:
- Zubrnice on 24.03.24,
- Hike to Brand on 21.04.24,
- trip to Bautzen on 05.05.24,
- joint participation in the Severní stopa hiking meeting on 18.05.24,
- Tolštejn Castle on 09.06.24,
- Trip to Görlitz on 30.06.24,
- Visit to the Eastern Tunes Festival in Vilémov on 13.07.24,
- Trip to Liberec and Ještěd on 25.08.24,
- Hike to Papststein on 29.09.24,
- Hike to Zlatý vrch on 13.10.24.
A total of 382 people took part in the project.
The project "Our Neighbors - Land and People" with the project number EEL-0246-DE-04-03-2024 was financially supported by the Small Projects Fund in the Elbe/Labe Euroregion. The approved funding amount is EUR 13,989.60.
The lead partner in the project was Kommunalgemeinschaft Oberes Elbtal/Osterzgebirge e.V.
The project partners were Klub českých turistů Dolní Poustevna, z.s. and Buntes Sebnitz e.V. - Verein zur Förderung von Kultur, Bildung und Begegnung.
The project was supported as part of the project service of the Elbe/Labe Euroregion.
