General Assembly of the Kommunalgemeinschaft Euroregion

The General Assembly of the Kommunalgemeinschaft Euroregion is its supreme body. It elects the representatives in the other bodies, decides on the budget and takes all fundamental and legally required decisions. It meets once a year, usually in late autumn.

Members

The members of the Municipal Association Euroregion send their representatives to the General Assembly. Their number per member is calculated according to the number of inhabitants. However, no member may get more than half of all seats. At present (according to resolution no. 39/KGM/01-09 of 28.01.2009) the City of Dresden has 15 seats, the County of Saxon Switzerland-Osterzgebirge 12 seats, the City of Pirna 2 seats and the City of Dippoldiswalde one seat.

After each municipal election the composition of the General Assembly is newly determined and thereupon also the bodies of the KG Euroregion are newly elected.
