One of the world's most well-known and richest treasure chamber museums, the New Green Vault is the perfect enhancement to its historical counterpart. More than 1,000 valuable objects dating from three centuries are on display, including the 'Court of the Great Mogul Aurangzeb' boasting 4,909 diamonds, 160 rubies, 164 emeralds, 1 sapphire, 16 pearls and 2 cameos. The presentation in perfectly lit non-reflective glass cases allows visitors to examine the treasures at close quarters—and the infinite wealth of detail to cast its magic spell. You can also marvel at a tiny object that has meanwhile achieved crowd-puller status: the cherry pit with '185 countenances', a masterpiece of micro-carving.
