Lookout tower Sokolí vrch

51 m high observation tower with external spiral staircase

The lookout tower on Sokolí vrch (German: Falkenberg) was built in 2004. The observation platform is situated at a height of 34 m, which makes it the second highest among the North Bohemian lookout towers. Including the antenna, the tower is 51 m high. 162 steps lead up to the tower.

When the visibility is good, you can see not only Děčín and its adjacent parts, but also Sněžník (Hoher Schneeberg), which is not far from the border, the tower on Ještěd (Jeschken) near Liberec, the castle Bezděz (Bösig), the Dresden TV tower and the TV tower on Buková hora not far from Ústí nad Labem.

From the bus stops "Dobrná,,hor.ves" directions_railway directions_bus and "Děčín, Folknáře" directions_railway directions_bus it is about 2 km walk to the tower.

Parking is available below the lookout tower, about 500 m away.
