Lookout tower Velký Chlum

Small lookout tower near Děčín

From this stone lookout tower you have a view of Děčín and the Elbe Valley, Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland (somewhat limited by vegetation) and the Bohemian Central Mountains.

The 16 m high tower was opened in 1930. After the war it served as a transmission tower. Since 1997 it is open to the public again.

Anreise

From the station "Děčín-Staré město" it is about 3 km to the tower. The bus stop of the same name cannot be taken seriously, but you should get off at "Děčín, Žerotínova" or for a climb from the northwest at "Děčín,,Křešice Fruta" .

Coming from the northeast, from the station "Březiny u Děčína" it is a little more than 3 km.
