The exposition of authentic handprints of famous personalities in the form of Czech crystals is a unique presentation, which is the only one of its kind in the world. The exposition includes handprints of famous personalities such as Václav Havel, Richard von Weizsäcker, Ringo Starr, Ennio Moricone, Sir Nicolas Winton, Adolf Born and Arnošt Lustig. The handprints were made from Bohemian crystal and are among the few of their kind in the world, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the magic of traditional glass craftsmanship, which manifests itself in the crystal sculptures of local master Jan Huňát. The handprints bear witness to the fragile art of glassmaking that once made Bohemia world-famous. The museum houses a collection of around 60 exhibits that have been produced since 2007. The collection is located in the town of Leitmeritz on the main square "Mírové náměstí", which is right next to the town hall. The exhibition is divided into two levels. The first level offers visitors the opportunity to touch the crystal hands of famous personalities and learn about their life stories as told by the lifelines. The second level focuses on the art itself and presents unique design sculptures that can be admired and appreciated. These works are created in the tradition of concrete art and bear the signature of the personality who created them. The handprints act as a medium to interweave the story of the person and the story of the handprint.
