Crystal Touch Museum

Glass art and handprints of famous personalities in crystal glass

A unique exposition of authentic handprints of famous personalities in the form of Bohemian crystal, the only one of its kind in the world. Experience the touch of great personalities, e.g. Václav Havel, Richard von Weizsäcker, Ringo Starr, Ennio Moricone, Sir Nicolas Winton, Adolf Born, Arnošt Lustig, etc. Let the magic of traditional glassmaking work take effect in the form of crystal sculptures by the local master Jan Huňát and get to know the fame of this fragile art, with which Bohemia conquered the whole world. The museum has about 60 exhibits, which have been produced since 2007.

It is located in the town of Leitmeritz on the main square "Mírové náměstí" right next to the town hall. The exposition was divided into two levels. The first one offers the visitor the possibility to touch the crystal hands of famous personalities and get acquainted with their life stories told by the life lines. The other level is directed to the art itself, where the visitor can admire and appreciate unique design sculptures. These are created with the authorship of concrete personalities. The story told by the handprint overlaps with the story of the person.
