Porzellan-Museum Meißen

MEISSEN® je první manufaktura na výrobu porcelánu v Evropě.

World of Experience MEISSEN

MEISSEN, the oldest porcelain manufactory in Europe, draws on a wealth of decorations going back more than 300 years and creates new designs with the finest craftsmanship. Meissen porcelain, which has always been associated with the city on the Elbe, can be recognized by the crossed swords and can be experienced by visitors from all over the world in the MEISSEN world of experience.
In the world of experience you can marvel at the production of the world-famous Meissen porcelain in the demonstration workshops, in the museum you can learn about our history and see an overview of the overall development of porcelain that is unique in the world. Be inspired by the widest range of products available for purchase in our stores and outlet and round off your visit with a culinary treat at the MEISSEN Café & Restaurant.

The Porcelain Museum

The permanent exhibition of the Meissen Porcelain Foundation Museum houses a previously unseen collection of porcelain, from monumental sculptures to the opulent swan service from the time of Augustus the Strong. With a multi-visual presentation, the museum lets the visitor immerse himself in the mysterious history of the origins of Meissen porcelain. Text overlays and film sequences make the beginning of the more than 300-year history of the manufactory an interactive experience - visitors learn interesting facts about Johann Friedrich Böttger, the famous alchemist and inventor of Meissen porcelain, and his companions.

With the free WiFi in Haus Meissen, an exciting children's rally with tablets through the museum is possible. Our youngest guests go on a MEISSEN safari with our rhino and discover the figures from a whole new perspective.

Welcome to the world of MEISSEN.
