At 564 m, the Luxemburger Höhe is by far not the highest peak in the vicinity, but from here you have a very nice view in almost all directions. So you can look into Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland, to the Říp or to the castle Bezděz (Bösig) near Doksy. The view of the surrounding hill country is very idyllic.
In the absence of public funding, the observation tower was financed entirely from private donations. These were collected in 2016-2018. The tower was opened to the public on May 8, 2020. The ascent to the tower is quite steep and a bit slippery when wet.
About 200 m away on the road is the more easily accessible Esöva vyhlídka lookout point with a panoramic photo that explains some of the visible peaks.
