Gold and minerals experience site - incl. washing gold yourself

The oldest documented gold mines in all of Saxony are located here in the region. The exhibition presents interesting and exciting facts about gold and minerals in the Hohwald. In addition to historical information about the history of gold prospecting in Upper Lusatia, there is the opportunity to try your hand at panning for gold or to purchase the corresponding equipment. Jewelry, minerals from all over the world, literature and other souvenirs are also for sale.

For hiking enthusiasts, guided natural history tours through the world of stones and gold in Hohwald are offered.
