Euroregion Elbe/Labe

Municipal Gallery of Contemporary Art

The Kunsthaus Dresden shows contemporary international art as well as work by young artists of the region. Discussions, film series, concerts and performances revolving around art, politics, pop and history provide especially the young culture and art public insights into current discourses and facilitate active participation in the same. The Baroque burgher’s residence with its permanent art installations on the façade and two floors of exhibition space is located just one hundred metres from the “Goldener Reiter” (“Golden Horseman”) statue. The exhibitions and projects conceived here and developed within the framework of cooperation with partners from all over the world are devoted to topical issues in art.
