Tram Museum Dresden

To ride through Dresden in an original tram from a museum: this is the very special experience offered by the Straßenbahnmuseum Dresden e.V. The association, founded in 1992, has dedicated itself not only to presenting the historic Dresden trams appropriately but also to maintaining them in working order. In an original tram station built in 1900, with old machinery and facilities, visitors can actually watch various historical vehicles such as Power Car 309 of 1902, the oldest item in the fleet, undergoing restoration. Information boards provide insight into the everyday working life of drivers and conductors from 1900 to the present day.

The subsidiary association "Historische Kraftfahrzeuge des Dresdner Nahverkehrs e. V." takes care of the fleet of historic buses of the Dresden Public Transport and offers them - just like the tram museum its vehicles - for rent. More information at www.historische-kfz-ddvb.de.
