Feel the hard, creaking school desks from over 130 years ago, imagine the squeaking of the stylus on the small wooden board or try to decipher the unfamiliar Sütterlin script? You can do all this at the Schmiedeberg School Museum.
The exhibition there in the school museum consists of two separate areas. While an old original classroom presents furnishings, the other part of the exhibition shows a documentation of Schmiedeberg's 350-year school history. This is supplemented by exhibits such as old teaching materials, books, illustrative material and photos.
