The "Stary Martin" (Old Martin) mine is a historic mine in the Krupka mining district, which was of great importance for ore extraction. Its history stretches from the 14th century to the 1930s, when mining was carried out on one of the richest and longest tin veins in Bohemia. Today, a visitor mine with an open-air museum serves to illustrate the various methods of ore extraction and mining in the past and present. A collection of historical objects, an overview of the coats of arms of all Bohemian mining towns and an exhibition of minerals and rocks complete the exposition. The so-called "Glücksquelle" (lucky spring) with stalactites is particularly worth seeing. The guided tour along the approximately one kilometer long route takes about 45 minutes.Visitors have a large parking lot directly opposite the mine at their disposal.
